We provide nursery care for all services (ages 0-2). The nursery is staffed by a qualified, well-trained staff. Our nursery care is more than babysitting.
- In our nursery children form their first bonds with church; they see it as a place of love.
- In our nursery children have their first learning experience at church as teachers talk and sing about Jesus.
- In our nursery faithful workers pray for the spiritual well-being of the children in their charge.
Awana Clubs teach children the good news of Jesus Christ and encourages children to grow spiritually through Scripture memory and Bible lessons. It also includes fun activities and games. The name Awana is an acronym for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,” which comes from the key verse: 2 Timothy 2:15. AWANA meets at Summit Academy from 6:30-8:00 on Wednesday evenings during the school year. Find more information and registration forms here.
Family Bible Hour
Our children’s classes are age graded through sixth grade. The curriculum, Generations of Grace, is structured to cover the major content of the Bible in three years. Each class studies the came lesson, though at different levels. This enables families to discuss the lessons together. You can read about this outstanding curriculum. Additional information about Generations of Grace is here.
Junior Summer Camp
Our boys and girls who have completed grades 3-6 enjoy a meaningful yet fun week of summer camp Peniel Bible Camp. The camp website describes the event this way:
“Each week features Bible-centered preaching and teaching with exciting activities designed for the specific age group. The camp atmosphere and staff provide a wonderful environment where campers can escape the influence of the world.”
