Monthly Men’s Meeting
The first Saturday of (nearly) each month the men of Huron Baptist Church meet for breakfast, fellowship, discussion, and prayer. Several of our men bring their sons with them. Our discussion usually centers on a chapter from a book that makes a valuable contribution to spiritual growth and leadership development. A few of the recent resources we have read and discussed together are:
Disciplines of a Godly Man by R. Kent Hughes
A Neglected Grace: Family Worship in the Christian Home by Jason Helopoulos
The Trellis and the Vine: The Ministry Mind-Shift the Changes Everything by Colin Marshall and Tony Payne
One to One Bible Reading: Simple Guide for Every Christian by David Helm
Annual Men’s Retreat
Each May Huron Baptist Church hosts a golf outing and Men’s Retreat In Hillsdale, Michigan. The retreat takes place at Michindoh Camp and Conference Center. We enjoy two days of fellowship with men from several other churches that share our faith and practices. The focus of our retreat is a series of timely messages designed to equip men to follow Christ and lead their families. We invite guest speaker each year who has demonstrated faithfulness in ministry and excellence in communicating the truth of God’s word.

Adult Activities
Throughout the year we schedule several activities. Most are designed for the entire family, but a few are intended for adult fellowship, including both the women and men of the church. One of the recent favorites we call A Night at the Range. We rent a firing range, enjoy a meal together, and then have a “bang” together! An approved instructor gives instructions for novices and a skilled team oversees the range.
