This Lord’s Day we begin the New Year by observing the Lord’s Table. The purpose of the Lord’s Table is to remember Christ (Luke 22:19). Our service will focus on what it means to remember Him.
Sermons on Lord's Supper
Each year at HBC we set aside a week to focus attention on the mission that we have in this world. This Sunday begins our Missions Emphasis Week. Traditionally, we begin the week with the observance of the Lord’s Table. Together, we remember Christ, whose mission is now our mission (Acts 13:47, cf. Isaiah 49:6).
This Lord’s Day we will observe the Lord’s Supper. On these occasions we build build the entire worship service around the Table. In our upcoming service we will explain many of the things that happen when the church gathers for Communion.
